A New Form of Weaponry
Origins
The origin of symphony fighters traces back to the sacrifice of Devon Rubin during the First Contact Battles (FCBs). Rubin’s unconventional tactic of firing his weapons in rhythmic patterns revealed an extraordinary truth: the Prosecutors were vulnerable to music.
This discovery redefined warfare. Researchers determined that rhythm, resonance, and harmony could disrupt the Prosecutors at a fundamental level. From this revelation emerged a new class of weaponry — the symphony fighter.

Design and Technology
Symphony fighters are towering humanoid mechs wielding instrument-shaped weapons that project weaponized diegetica — energy infused with rhythm, melody, and harmonic resonance. Their destructive power is not purely mechanical; it is amplified by performance.
The effectiveness of weaponized diegetica depends on two factors:
- Ceremonial Design – Humanoid forms and symbolic, ritualistic elements increase resonance potency.
- Human Feeling – Pilots must feel the music they create; authentic emotional expression strengthens the output. Without passion, precision alone yields diminished results.
This strange fusion of science and ritual has led many to describe symphony fighters as a merging of technology and magic.

Deployment
For the past fifteen years, symphony fighters have been the only proven defense against the Prosecutors. Crucially, the aliens have only appeared within Nova Zion’s territory, making Nova Zion the sole nation with combat-proven Campaigners (symphony fighter pilots).
Other nations maintain their own symphony fighters in hangars, but without incursions to test them, they remain unused — symbols of preparation rather than survival. Meanwhile, Nova Zion’s Campaigners shoulder the burden of defending all humanity.
